Chapter 1

As I stalked into my hovel of a bedroom I tucked my straggly blond hair behind my ear and prepared to cross the pile of clothes blocking my route to my bed.
“What’s taking you so long ant?” my brother Zane said while he sprawled across my bed. Sometimes I really hated him but there was no denying that we were related. You know, we both had exactly the same ocean blue eyes, long golden hair down way past our knee’s, pink pouty lips, short pale bodies and oh, of course, the , same birthday. Me and Zane are twins. Both 17, both into music and both elementarias.
Oh, elementarias are people who can use the earth’s pull and forces to either use fire, water, wind, earth or weather. Me and Zane are in a whole league of our own ‘coz your only suppose to be able to do just one. Between me and Zane we can do them all, I can command fire, wind, weather and Zane can command water and earth. Our parents almost had a heart attack when we came into our ‘gifts’ at 13 and nearly blew the house up. Now we have to have regular sessions with the master (some real powerful old guy who can command all the elements) and try to control “the unique gift you two have been given. It’s a true honour to be able to do the things you too can.” Stupid.
“Don’t call me ant!” I bellowed. Zane has always called me ant because my real name is so hard to pronounce, Xanthe, not difficult, X-an-th-ee or anthie for short.
“Then hurry up sweetness!” Zane crawled of the bed and narrowly dodged the pile of pizza that was slowly growing on my rug... I really need to clean that up...
“Firstly, what are you doing in my room? Secondly, why are you in my room? And thirdly, Get ‘outta my room!” childish I know but use what ya got.                                                                                                                                “I just wanted to know if you wanted to go to the pizza shop with me.”
“You know, you coulda just messaged me.” I picked up my fave pair of trousers and laid them across my bed that was now vacated.
“We’re not supposed to do that after the last accident.” The last accident being giving everyone within a 2 mile radius a severe headache.
“We’re getting better though. Anyway why would I wanna get pizza with you? You have nasty habits.” Habits being eating cheese, chicken, tomato sauce and crab on a pizza... disgusting...
“TJ and Naomi will be there.” Christian, Zane’s best and slightly out there mate. Hot though. I must admit i haven’t seen Naomi as much as i should you know, seeing as she is my best friend but there’s been so much going on...
“Ok, I’ll come only if you pay.” I start to change clothes. He was born with me and has enough decency not to stare at me while I change.
"TJ will be so happy!
“Don’t. Just don’t.” Why do I have the feeling something is gonna happen? Probably because it always does when me and our friends hang... meh, makes life interesting.
