From the set of three mermaid illustrations done last year for the SQP book "Mermaid song". Pencil on paper then painted in photoshop. About a week.Related content

Never really had the patience for fishing, which is kind of strange, seeing as I have endless patience for spending sometimes weeks on a single piece of art.

I think it made my Dad mad when we were kids to take us fishing. He wanted to be on the lake by 5am and thought he was the guy on the fishing show. He would cast lures and troll. My brother and I would drop a bobber over the side and go back to sleep.
If I could have caught one of these as a kid.......I'd still be fishing today!
I can totally sympathize with the patience for art. I spend weeks creating a model and sets and then sit impatiently as it renders line by line over several hours......
