Description The solo Twitter Rifle Mk 8 [link]

The TRMk8 with default M010 underbarrel attachment [link]

The TRMk8 with optional shotgun attachment [link]

From this point on, all things "Twitter" are now "Harbinger"

The Harbinger Purpose: In the case of a lone marksman having an enemy get too close to effectivly use the sniper rifle he doesn't have to drop the rifle and reach for his side arm, he can just pull a different trigger ^.^ But if he isn't using the rifle, say he's traveling between buildings, he can detach the pistol and use it as a close quarters defense weapon. The shotgun is still under development, but follows the same idea.

The Smithana Arms Harbinger Rifle Mark 8 is the newest, most compact version of the Harbinger Rifle Series (Named after the Harbinger Pistol line for having multiple barrels, however the latest versions of the Harbinger Rifle have replaced the built in second weapon with removable attachments, as seen here)

The Rifle itself fires .30-06 caliber rounds but can be special ordered for .50BMG or 7.62mm.
Also, the ejection port is not inline with the bolt. The bolt is positioned infront of and below the port. When the ejection process starts, the empty shell is picked up and carried back (once the bolt is open) and then tossed out the (then open) port. The port cover slides down and out of the way.
The bottom attachment is a shotgun with 4 shells in the tube. It is still in the prototype phase however. (Meaning I know there are alot of issues, but point 'em out anyway )

Concept (c) to me

Hehe yea, Souzousha and I had it out about that already. It's also been fixed in newer versions of the rifle I believe. If not, then it'd be a great reason for me to re make this design.

Alright as requested Il review this
I apologize If any part gets harsh it all to improve

1 First off I like the weapon by itself
Going to the over view
1- Ejection port , Unless its an unusual Left handed firearm The ejection port is missing, there for rounds cannot be ejected
2 Charging handle , the first round must always be loaded manually, Without it . Rounds would never be able to chamber = Cant shoot
3 Now this is something No one else *Id bet* would notice
From looking at the weapon I see that its Gas operated *assuming that thats the gas chamber below the barrel*
- firearm design only fits Gas operation or Bolt action (if a bolt was present)-
So now thats the gas chamber which also has rails on it
Now being the gas line/chamber whatever, Any types of attachments could pose a risk or malfunctions
in addition, the weight and recoil of the bottom one Could cause it to malfunction
by rupturing the line after several shots

Any types of attachments should be to the weapons body and not touch any part of the gas chamber or the barrel

4 then same as Iv said Having an attached weapon for a marksman rifle would eat into parts like Mobility, Weight, Low profile, Ect Making it not an ideal marksman rifle
second one would disable field position shots
third one would make the weapon a dead giveaway and cause it to be heavy

thats all I can see now Must get back to my mail XC

Also, the pistol /should/ be using the horizontal mag, which would further lower its profile. I'll fix that in the next update if I need one. which I might with the attachment rail issue lol

I can answer almost all of these!

1 and 2: The ejection port is at the rear of the stock near the top. (I used the same barrett reciver as the Mk7 i just chopped the end off it) and the charging handle is what you thought was the gas system ^.^ (hence the little handle lookin dealy, that really is a handle)
3: Now moot as it's not a gas operated design Although after rereading it it's only partially moot. The attachment rail cant be connected to the barrel?
4: I do understand It'll be bulky and such, but I'm slowly trying to minimize this effect, which is why I didn't want to do the shotgun in the first place lol but both attachments are much slimmer now with the grips folded up, so prone shots are still in I /think/ you just may not be as flat as you'd like.

I'll add an explaination of the reciever to the desc. And bear in mind, the shotgun REALLY wasn't my idea. which is why it looks so bad.

XC
1- Ejection ports are located in front of the mag and before the chamber
Yours is a bit to far back Not allowing any room for ejecting mechanisms or recoil absorbers /spring

2- charging handle is some what far in terms for sniping Were minimum movement is required Would make it difficult/unusual to reload for right handed users

3- Correct For sniper riles nothing should touch the barrel And free floating barrels are ideal they increase accuracy

4- Pone shots at such hight would give off position = possible failure to complete mission and a hot encounter
I recommend if any weapons were attached to the rifle They be by snapping on Insted of rails

I'll sketch up an inside view of what I'm thinking for the bolt/ejection too. But tommorow lol.

1: Try looking at it here, either you arn't getting something or I'm not lol here's step one to figuring out which of the two it is. [link]
2: Hmm, that's true. If it was ambidextrous would that help any? Or should I just try and bring it back towards the reciever somewhere?
3: Alright, So if I just ran the rail up and around on all sides it would be alright? Cuz then the barrel would be inside the RIS system like normal. Idk if it would still work as a free float though...?
4: Hmm... in your free time could you sketch up something to show how snapping on might look? Just something real basic. I'm having a hard time picturing that lol
