This picture actually got me to consider how my lilitus (name I use for the overall species) feel about their tails. Then I remembered that I put toxic barbs on them, so that was the end of that consideration (toxins are stimulants for lilitus, and to other humanoids in small amounts, but dangerous enough for offense).
I just thought of something... what about injury? Like, stepping on his tail, or hitting it with something spiky. If it's super sensitive, then wouldn't that be another facet of it?
