This is my entry for 's "Distance" contest!!

This is a fan art of Sakura and Syaoran from Tsubasa resevoir chronicles using photoshop!!!

i watched Tsubasa ages ago but this one scene from the very start of the series has been stuck in my head ever since then, and i though it fit the theme of "distance" perfectly

i was trying to be ...err... original with this, since this distance is very small physically though is a lot more painful than greater distances between them.

This scene is the point where Sakura loses all of her memories. Syaoran can do nothing but watch, and it is only afterwards that he can help her. Yet in order to help her he must sacrifice what is most precious to him - and that is his bond with Sakura. Therefore Sakura will never remember Syaoran even if she does regain all of her memories - Syaoran no longer exists to her.

Syaoran still loves Sakura though, and although she will never know who he was to her, he travels with her and protects her as she tries to recover her memories. The more memories they recover, the more Sakura wants to find even more, as she is desperate to know who the strange person is she dreams about but can never recall the identity of. All Syaoran can do is watch over and protect her.

They continue to travel, Sakura desperately trying to find the one from her memories, when the one person she is looking for is with her all the time, constantly close to her, but they can never be together.

The barrier that stopped him from saving her is still there. They might as well be worlds apart.
