i took a moment, i love mushrooms and i love girls and girls that are near mushrooms in forests (elfs etc) but i dont like girls that grow mushrooms thats just plain nasty

I seldom come across photographs that immediately mesmerize and resonate with me as this one has.
It's wonderfully unique and the longer you study the picture the more you appreciate how much work went into the preparation of setting up the shoot. The mushrooms are seamlessly integrated with your skin, and the way you arranged them along your your spine to represent the different sizes of the vertebra is subtle and clever.
Extending from the center of one of the mushrooms on your back is what looks like roots. Was that done specifically for this photo?

You get exactly every details I have worked on when I imagined this scene...
It was a long-term endeavour, as it took me almost a year to capture this.
For the "roots", it's actually my tatoo that you guessed, it's amusing that you saw this as an natural element of the atmosphere, interesting point of view!

Wow. Je suis vraiment vraiment et agréablement surprise par cette photo. Les teintes, la compo et la lumière sont superbes, mais surtout, l'idée est vraiment merveilleuse. J'ai un travail photographique sur les champignons que j'ai commencé dernièrement (qui n'a aucun lien esthétique avec cette photo) alors disons que dès que j'en vois un je suis attirée, ça vient me chercher. Disons que je trouve qu'ils sont un sujet très exploitable et chargé de sens.
Je ne sais pas si tu connais la série-télé Hannibal (qui est seulement en anglais pour l'instant), mais dans l'une des épisodes il y a une série de meurtre qui a un rapport avec les champignons, et je pense que tu aimerais beaucoup l'esthétique, puisque ça rappelle un peu ta photo.

Les champignons sont un mystère, j'aime leur odeur et leur singularité dans l'existence. C'est incroyablement riche et inspirant...
Ce n'est pas la première fois que l'on me renvoie à l'épisode d'Hannibal (que j'ai déjà vu) je ne pensais pas que cela ferait écho, d'autant que cet auto-portrait a patienté gentiment plus d'un an avant d'être enfin dévoilé. Cela dit, c'est flatteur pour tout un tas de raisons!

En tout cas dans mon cas, c'était un compliment! Cet épisode est tellement bien montée et le visuel est à couper le souffle (d'admiration et d'effroi en même temps, haha!)

Les multiples nuances de teintes sur ta peau te rendent un air de créature toute droit sortie des tréfonds de la terre.
Tu connais mon avis sur cette série, tu as su sortir de ton style habituel, sans quitter ton univers pour autant, avec beaucoup de style et d'élégance, toujours.
