Barad Eithel(Tower of the Well), the mountain stronghold of the realm of Hithlum. Here resides Noldor under High King Fingolfin and his son Fingon. Throughout the first age, this bastion has withstood invasions and warfare under their stout leadership, holding the northwestern portion of Beleriand in check, until the tragic Battle of Unnumbered Tears, where its army was destroyed, and the fortress fallen in Morgoth's unstoppable conquest.
