Loremaster and Herald of the Noldor,
descended from a lineage of Edain and Eldar, and being fostered by the eldest sons of Feanor. While his twin brother Elros led Men as the first king of Numenor, Elrond chose immortality, and stayed in Lindon to become Gil Galad's herald through the Second Age.
