this is for CO calendar, down at my oekaki. :3 it's the best thing i've done in a LONG fricken time, dedicated to my best friend ~Chestnutt . :] I worked so hard on it, and i think i succeeded in making it look not-so-generic by actually detailing the background and stuff, cause all over the place you see these soft-shaded hard 2px lineart things with just.. sparkly backgrounds, but this is different. i tried to do everything to make this look perfect, but also look like my style at the same thing. the hardest thing to do was the sketch, but the most fun thing to do was deffinately the background. xD i improvised and added the pink water in because it looked empty. even then, it was still missing something, so i added my old star eater species in from a while ago, when i was WAYY into macabre art. xD they look really bright because they absorb light, but they don't give any off, only shadows. they sort of contradict theirselves. xD;[link] has a little more info and their first appearance. What amazes me the most about this, is how you've managed to do a lineless background on a picture that's linearted, and yet pulled it off extremely well. Lineless backgrounds usually tent to be sloppy last minute things. [I should know. xD] Yes this is STUNNING. The water is and the paving around it is GORGEOUS. And those bubbles. They look so simple and they still leave me in awe.
The lineart itself is brilliant. I love how smooth it is. The bit on ChipZ's ear that goes over the barbell is especially lovely since you haven't just slopped it on top. Simple touches like that make me happy. xD
The little species that you made. Aha I love how they fit in this picture. I really like how they're around you and Ches, instead of in a straight line in the back somewhere. It LOOKS like there's perspective there. <333

You two obviously have a wonderful bond, ChipZ, it shows it in the picture <3
I love how you can still see the texture in the fur, and the expressions in the friend's eyes. The little pool of liquid makes me wanna reach out and touch it, and I just wanna pop the bubbles. The background is better than anything I could ever accomplish, and the moon behind the clouds makes it more prettier.
The star eaters were a great touch, definte one of your best works I've seen since I met you

Aw, this is so pretty. :3 It definitely shows that you worked REALLY hard on it. The water looks so beautiful~ the sky is gorgeous and it really adds a lot to the picture c: and of course your lineart and coloring are amazing, as usual. XD
