You (and most probably everyone else) won't agree with me, but I think the photo would be really much better if the background was in focus to. Or at least just slightly less focused. Just slightly.
Of course, this is my opinion. And a very personal one.
After having said this I find the picture truly awesome. The concept of the apple in front of the "true apple"
