Yaaay kitpup quest. The art is sorta old, since I was procrastinating on posting this. Anyways, I didn’t exactly follow the prompt for this one so it’s story time!

Look, it wasn’t like Sonder was planning to bail on his entire class. It just sort of... happened? When Sonder was originally given his role in the play he had been quite surprised actually. Honestly, he still didn’t really know why this role went to him and not one of the other, way more talented, kitpups in his class. He had been honored though, and quickly went to work rehearsing his many lines in the play. Rehearsals went fine, and the teacher would often comment on how well Sonder was doing.

But as the day of the actual play comes closer Sonder began to feel more and more nervous. On the actual day of the play Sonder had felt more nervous then ever. He quietly went to see his teacher about it, but they told Sonder that it would probably go away when he actually started the play. After all, he had practiced his lines so well. His class was still buzzing with excitement and all were getting ready to start the play. One of the others saw Sonder and enthusiastically ran over to him to help him put on the mask.

Not long after that Sonder was quickly ushered to the stage by his teacher. He would be all alone on the stage for a few minutes. During that time, he had a few lines to say. But despite it just being a few lines and despite all his preparation Sonder’s mind suddenly went blank. He looked around for his teacher, but couldn’t find them anymore. He wasn’t sure what to do anymore, as he still couldn’t remember his lines. The crowd that had gathered to see the play started whispering, and as soon as Sonder realized this he stumbled back bumping into one of the decorations on the stage. After that, it didn’t take long for Sonder to just dash off the stage. In his eyes he had surely already ruined the play for everyone.

He pushed several of the other kitpups away, immediately heading for the exit of the building. Part of him already knew this was probably not a good plan, but Sonder really didn’t want to see the disappointment and anger of the other kitpups. He eventually slowed down after reaching a big open field. He only then realized his shimmer, Bubbles, had followed him and was now trying to comfort him.
