Description Libra is the scales is tied to the Greek goddess of Justice, who later was used as a reference for the current Lady of Justice. She's not blindfolded because the original goddess was never depicted that way.

Very nice artwork! 

The reason why the blindfold was added later is because untill the 15. century she wasn't depicted as the goddess of "Lawful Justice", but basic well doing. It was actually taken from Justitia, rome's version of Libra. Prior to what many believe, the bilndfold doesn't represent blindnes, but being without stereotypes.
