still a long way off where i want to be, tbhin any case, this is meant just as a sort of record of her aesthetic development! as always, i'm open to any and all suggestions about how to improve/change her appearance as i want her to be to some degree dictated by my watchers to create a more participatory experience!
i'm not saying that i'll make every change that's suggested but, for instance, if enough people were to say they want her hair shorter i'd try to implement that change. or if someone comes up with an idea that really strikes me, i'd do it without it being something that has been agreed upon by many

I think she could benefit from having more defined face shape, etc. Looking backwards, I really like lotsofmoon.deviantart.com/art/… this design of her. Its a little more sleek, IMHO the color palette is better here, I like the dark shirt and light pants better for her, I feel it vibes well with her personality and goes well into her cyber arm. I also like that she has eye color.
The character could definitely benefit from things like a neck and slightly more defined face shape. Weight gain obviously changes her appearance a bit between people meals, but keeping a neck and more humanoid face shape except in extreme cases would do her general apperance some good. I'm more for moon on the slightly leaner side, while keeping her iconic big appearance. Especially since she seems to be some badass fighter- or atleast is trying to be- I feel she should have a little bit more definition, and a tad less blubber. Don't get me wrong, keep the blub. Just "trim the fat" as they say.

honestly, the current face shape came about as a result of my trying to make her appearance adhere more to the whole 'like the moon' theme which i initially built up from a thematic, symbolic angle and then have increasingly moved towards from an aesthetic one in order to sorta stay true to her motif! but i totally get that as time goes on, i probably won't be able to have her remain looking quite as gormless and so, as she tries to improve her image in the oct in order to appeal more to the fans (and by extension the world as a whole, she believes!), she will most likely be becoming more mindful of her (albeit senseless) body and will, as a result, lose some weight.
i can't imagine it'd be too much because the character still needs to be consistent with the "lack of moderation" (the character has no sense of touch and so isn't aware of her physical limits) theme that is pretty much the defining quality of the comic but, like you say, she could maybe do with having some of the weight trimmed, gain a bit of definition and take up less frame space! i'm also intending for her to chill out a bit on the whole eating people thing, with it being a pretty heinous, antisocial habit which does more bad than the majority of her other inclinations - so she should be able to shed some pounds pretty easily after she stops taking bites outta people!
as for being a bad ass fighter, she's far and away the weakest out of all the FT entrants, with her only real 'ability' really more of a disability that she uses to her advantage! the weight plays into that, used to "overpower" a roster almost entirely lighter than her but, as she develops, i'm hoping that she'll be able to develop alternative means of attack accommodated by a slight drop in weight!
the clothes are all totally subject to change, too and as she gains a sense of humanity, she might well develop proper eyes again, haha!

i'm not sure if she'll ever get this skinny but i do know in the oct (which is now canon for her) she's gonna at least try to lose some weight - who knows if it will actually work or not!

The rough draft looks pretty good, the slight change in face definition makes quite a large difference to the way she looks, and I think its working pretty well. I hope you keep playing with that idea, I'm interested to see where you take it

i think it's supposed to be all tied back but whenever people draw her, it's usually the case that it's shaggier on top and tends to look much better that way! so maybe i'll start to incorporate that!
