Another two hour digital paint thingI promised I'd deliver something better and this is what happened, sorry. =_=;;
I know digitally painting isn't really my forte >3> seeing as how this is only like my... 4th? One I've done since on DA
Maybe I'll eventually get enough confidence to paint other people! Which will be NEVER.
... damn sorry, I know this is stupid, this is what I got though... >_>

Your shading looks painterly enough to me.
If it helps one of the things they really drilled into me in Oil Painting class was to avoid shading light and shadow with true white, true black, or only lighter and darker mixes of the same color. Instead if you chose color tinted shades you add more interest to the colors already there. Once you've done that sample some of the colors from parts of the painting and repeat them elsewhere they might be interesting even if illogical. That pink I added to my Pinkie Pies pupils made no sense but it made theme much better. Just sharing what I know in text, because you know my speech impediment is only getting worse. Oh yeah and we still need to do an art trade or double meme or something someday. Cheers.

Oooh okie dokie. I tried to do direct dark/light shading, but it turned into that anyways whoopsie. I'll try and use a dark blue this time instead of just a deeper purple.
