Description
Art trade with who asked for their fursona sky
I love drawing simple characters, lets me run wild with experiments.
Couldn't quite get the faded northern lights to look right but I still am happy with the outcome
And hey look I got an Art trade done super-fast...
but at the same time I haven't finished some of my older art trades
I haven't even completed the reffs for the characters I want them to draw for me .-.

That is a really nice tutorial but I wasn't really going for something smooth like that and other colours didn't fit the colour scheme
If I do a more realistic-type picture I'll go and consult that tutorial though

Everything looks terrific, the colors in the sky are fabulous. The only thing that bothers me is the eyes, I've never seen any like that before

mmm it might be I have a sort of anime-esque eye style, but I noticed that I didn't add much shading to them and they look flat.

I have a question
I was wondering if you could sort of tell/teach me how to draw without the black lines like on your drawings.(The black lines surrounding the body,)

This particular piece was actually colored-lines instead of line-less
I first sketched the basic idea and then I made really big sort of lines where the character was, then I filled in the base color under them, and then I chose a color that was just a bit darker than the base and I colored the lines in with that
Then I shaded over the top of it and stuff

So like, technically, With the main color of the pelt(in this case animals) you would draw the lines with the same color as the fur?
Okay, like, If I were to draw a dark grey character, the lines would be the same dark grey, and after I get the coloring done, I'd go back in and shade and add details?

Almost the same color, just a bit darker. Unless you want completely line-less work
