Richet Beaufaux is a young man of aristocratic origin, originally from France. Because of the extremely bad character and wayward spirit of the adventurer, Richet quarreled strongly with the whole family: the young man was alien to the luxury and gloss of huge halls, balls and communication with arrogant ladies, he was attracted by the excitement of obscurity, dark night streets, trips to extreme gave.
So Richet arrived to the New World, where he took the name Richard Briant and got into a swindler gang. Thanks to his charisma and intelligent charm, Richard became a skilled swindler, although he prefers to call himself "a seeker of rare curiosities and their careful collector".
