Description
Tried my hand at some wild curls and shadows. It was fun and challenging to construct my subject from multiple references. Most notable reference was this work by an art student:
artrenewal.org/pages/artwork.p…
Graphite, 14"x17".

She is very beautiful. I would love to meet her if she is real.
Here are some picky stuff:
1. I realize there are some little smudges in this piece of work, though not too obvious for people to notice.
2. The outline of the left arm is a bit too dark, making it a bit too comic and not in harmony with the other elements.
3. I just saw an 'X' on the left elbow. LOL
4. Some locks of hair have shadows and some don't.
I may not be the most suitable person to criticize, but I think your work would be more refine that way.

Indeed constructing work from several refs is fun!
Beautiful delicate work; the hair is glorious. She seems to be floating, in some ethereal place.

gorgeous, very nice shading, I can see the lighting clearly defined in this black and white image

The curls and swirls of hair are epic. I have yet to gather courage to try and draw curly hair, so I admire those with patience to figure out which strand goes where
