Once his mind is set on something, he would stop at nothing until that goal is achieved. He gets flustered and embarrassed easily, and would sometimes pull his collar up over his head and hide in his sweater.

For example, if someone sitting next to him shakes their leg, taps their pencil, or chews food with their mouths open for an extended period of time, he would eventually lay himself down on the floor and start screaming.

TL;DR - Rion's a teacher > overly ambitious > everyone relies on him way too much > snaps under pressure &takes time off school > results in two students attempting suicide

Ambitious, was the word to describe Rion. Shortly after graduating from college, his reputation and achievements quickly got him a job as a high profile teacher at an esteemed high school. Not long after he started teaching, Rion became incredibly popular with the students and his co-workers. Both students and teachers would go to him for help of all sorts from organizing the syllabus/next week's math quiz, to dating advice and coming out. He was the best teacher, and the best friend.

As quickly as time went by, an increasing number of people would become more and more reliant on him. Many of the teachers become lazy, constantly asking him to do their paperwork under the pretense of a "favour" and guilt-tripping him if he refused. The students began to tell him things that he wished he didn't hear; private family affairs, rape, suicidal thoughts...- devastatingly confidential information that really should be brought to a councilor or a higher authority. Eventually, a couple of severely depressed students got a hold of his home phone number, and would call him in the middle of the night for emotional support. As days turned to months, going to school each day became an overwhelmingly anxious, and fatiguing experience. Student after student confided in him, crying, and refusing to seek help elsewhere. He found himself in a position where he could do nothing but mumble platitudes one after another, and listen to devastating issues that were entirely out of his power to help.

Finally breaking down one night from the overwhelming stress and fatigue, he left the school a message to take a week off, and quickly turned off his phone, shutting out the incoming calls. A couple days later, he found out that one of the students that confided much too deeply in him was in critical condition from attempted suicide, and another student was comatose. The news was so horrific that his worn out self simply couldn't react, and the last piece of him silently broke. He numbly wondered for what reason he worked so hard, and why his good intentions all went wrong. Pernicious whispers clouded his bitter thoughts, offering him an easy way out as he mumbled a "yes" in the empty room.

Rion was born to a lovely French couple in the city of Marseille, France. His father was a very well respected composer and artist, and his mother was an accountant that worked at home. He grew up in a modest house in the countryside, in the midst of a large, beautiful field. His parents always believed in happiness outside of materialistic things and money, so despite their relatively good income, they would keep just enough for themselves, and donate the rest of it to various charities. All around were yards of beautiful nature and greenery, and life was blissfully calm and peaceful. However, life never only gives. Rion's mother had always been a bit more on the frail side, but concern was raised as her skin paled and she grew skinnier and weaker by the day. She tried to brush it off as a common cold, but the pain in her back and abdomen eventually became too much for her to hide behind a smile. His father rushed her off to the hospital, and it turned out that she had pancreatic cancer. It was still in the earlier stages, but the cancer was beginning to spread. The operation was scheduled in four months, and until then, the mother would stay in the hospital for pain management and monitoring.

Upon hearing the news, Rion cried and prayed desperately for his mothere's recovery. For the days after, he couldn't sleep or eat properly without throwing up from stress. His father was distraught by his wife's condition, and he couldn't bare to see his only son self destruct. After much contemplation, he got an idea and went out, and brought home a large stack of small, beautifully patterned paper. When Rion listened to the story of a thousand paper cranes, and how the legend says that a thousand paper cranes can grant one wish, he eagerly dove at the stack of patterned paper, begging his father to teach him how to fold them. They slowly folded paper cranes one at a time late into the night, until his dad fell fast asleep.

The next day, Rion's father wakes up to a mountain of paper cranes - the massive stack of paper from the previous night completely disappeared. Buried under the sea of cranes was Rion, sleeping more soundly than he ever had in days. His father was dumbfounded by the sheer speed of which he finished folding the stack of a thousand sheets of paper. After that night, Rion would fold a thousand cranes every day, getting faster and faster, to the point he could finish a thousand in about 3 to 4 hours. He would go to the hospital with his father and deliver the cranes to his mother, every single day for the next four months, up until the day of his mother's operation.

The surgery was a success, and with a couple weeks of physio rehab, Rion's mother was able to walk and move perfectly as she had before. The family was back together, and everything went back to the way it was before. After discovering a love for the art of paper folding, Rion found himself being able to mentally break down any object into their basic geometric shapes just by looking at it, and through origami, recreate the structure in almost perfect likeness with a simple sheet of paper without any cuts or glue. It was only the matter of time before his genius in the art of origami was known throughout the country of France, and his creations were put on display in museums and showcases, being sold for tens of thousands. It was shortly afterwards when a letter of a special scholarship would eventually reach his hands from the world-renowned academy, Illustris.

Vlad is under the impression that Rion's in first year and is younger than her, so she's always "taking care" of him and leading the way, treating him like a little brother. He doesn't know how to break the news to her.
✦ Jeremy | HazyDayClouds | Best bro and biggest rival- Jeremy brings out the energetic and competitive nature in Rion. They compete over the weirdest things, yell a lot, and are constantly goofing off and trying to one-up each other. Although Rion is always getting angry at Jeremy for silly reasons, he really likes him a lot and has a great deal of fun hanging out with him. Though he'd never, ever tell him that.
✦ Aura | Fortranica | A chance encounter that turned out to be one that would last. Rion and Aura indulge in beautiful art, patterns and designs, and the Asian culture. Time moves slowly when they learn from each other, and bringing life to beautiful creations.
