Ringo is strict with herself, and towards those around her. She has high expectations for herself, and expects things to be done in an efficient, careful, and organized manner. She will not hesitate to correct a teacher or upper classman's mistake. However, she is anything but arrogant and self absorbed. Although her naturally conservative and blunt nature often times bring about misunderstandings and give others a negative impression of her, she always speaks the truth and wants nothing but the best for her peers. In everything she does, she always puts in her full effort whether it be towards her studies, helping her family with the farm, or helping a classmates with schoolwork.

Despite her crude words and distance towards others, her want to help is genuine. She simply dislikes showing weakness or any form of vulnerability towards anyone. She would hide her good will and intentions with distance, harmless insults and white lies to hide her embarrassment. Although she won't admit it, she finds happiness in supporting others in any way be it academically (e.g. helping with school work/tutoring) or emotionally. Because she is often dishonest with her feelings, she reacts childishly and disregards compliments and words of gratitude despite being inwardly happy.

She struggles with a tendency to worry too much: this generally leads to her frequently taking on more than she can handle. She would prefer do all the work herself than to receive help from others, and would often times neglect her health and sleep in order to complete the workload she takes upon herself.
「History」
Ringo grew up in a peaceful and loving household with her parents and twin brother. Her family runs a fruit farm, yielding acres of different types of fruits. Being fun-loving parents, they decided to name their children after fruits; Ringo (Apple) and Ichigo (Strawberry). Ichigo took on his parent's relaxed and fun nature, whereas Ringo inherited her grandparent's conservative, work-driven personality. She absolutely admired their work ethic and self-discipline. She would spend a lot of time with her grandparents, learning how to sew, how to tend to the fields, and many other useful skills needed to help things run smoothly.

Rather than enjoying the fun and relaxed nature of her family's rural lifestyle like her brother, she grew up constantly worrying for her family. To her, she felt that in comparison to her grandparents her parents were too relaxed. They both took things day by day, going with the flow and laughing at their mistakes, and constantly having their guards down. She sometimes sees her parents being cheated during transactions when selling fruits and conducting trades because they were too kind and giving. She would also worry for her parents' health, as she sees other parents with back and chronic pain from long term physical and repetitive labor. Her worries only got worse as her brother seemed to only play all day and neglected his studies. Her never-ending worries, which are usually without basis or blown out of proportions, lead to her taking matters into her own hands such as doing chores, getting her school work done, and helping out with farm work and their store. She would do her brother's share of the chores as well, and work hard to do more than what's expected of her to make sure everything is perfect. Eventually, she had taken it upon herself to watch over, protect, and to provide for her family.

As a child, Ringo would be teased by the boys in her class for having cheeks "as red as apples". Her natural blush and smaller frame gave her a more timid and cute impression, so her peers and teachers would often treat her younger than she is, even throughout middle school. Despising how she was constantly "babied", doted on and teased by those around her, she grew to adapt a cold and stoic facade in attempt to make others treat her more seriously. From the facade, she gradually became more strong-willed and blunt, to the point the guys who used to tease her for her red cheeks and height would back off. Enjoying this power in how she can overcome adversities through hard work and determination, she worked to become a straight A, model student who worked hard in pursuit of what she believes in, and stands her ground against injustice towards herself, her friends, and her family.

✦ Hanako Himura (Mother): Although Ringo feels that her mother was too relaxed and carefree, she is in fact a very hard and diligent worker who provides enough to maintain a comfortable lifestyle for the family.
✦ Takeshi Himura (Father): Ringo sees him as a bit airy, ditzy, and clumsy. His seemingly unreliable nature makes her worry, thus she takes on a mother-like role and takes care of him.

She picks up her pen to write down notes for herself, and a comprehensive summary of the chapter for his brother to study from. Knowing him, he probably wouldn't be able to even open the textbook before getting bored and giving up. Nevertheless, writing aids her memorization. As the clock ticked and pages turned, her focus in her studies are second to none. That is, until... "....what is that-" something caught her attention from the corner of her eye. Is that.... oh dear Lord in Heaven that can't be.... she gulps as her eyes left the textbook and her gaze trailed up the wall. Oh no.... she gets up, staggering in horror. One of the photos on the wall was slightly crooked. Unable to resume her studies until the abomination was corrected, Ringo gets up to adjust the position of the frame..... and ends up cleaning the entire living room.
