Yay for old sketches! I'm going through my hard drive today and finishing any old sketches I come upon that I like. This was one of them. More low light shading in this one, too. Here's a bit of story to go with it:

Firestar looked up at Silverpelt in sadness. After the most recent bought of greencough, he had lost his eighth life. He now had only one with which to protect his clan. No one in the clan knew it was his last, not even his mate Sandstorm.

"So we are alone now." he spoke softly, gazing up at the stars. "I know that you know, Starclan, that I am becoming more suspicious each day. Please help me live my last life without fear."

With that, he turned and headed back to camp before anyone noticed that he was missing.

Poor Firestar, his muzzle is pretty grayed and in this piece he's losing confidence in himself. It's only a matter of time before he loses his final life, and only the Erin's know how he loses it. Firestar's death scene has already been written.
