I saw the worst tutorial known to man today, so I decided to start a series of my own. Let me know what you think... I did this entirely in my computer photo work shop. I don't like computers... but it's done. The same principles apply to traditional drawing, so... Critiques?Related content

I'm surprised you don't use the disney-eque 'crosshairs'. The curved eye and center lines are just instinct to me now...
Looks good, though. You should do a shading tutorial, I love your shading!

I might do that, but I think I'd end up with a lot of people going, "wait, where's the ruler stage? Why isn't there a ruler stage?" Convincing people that they can draw a straight line is the challenge of my shading technique. As for the crosshairs... I used to use those, but they just got in my way so bye bye troublesome issue.

I can see that, there's a lot of erasing and it's a bother in really small pictures.

you see, all those shading lines I use, I never draw them in with pencil, only the outer lines are drawn in pencil. I just lay out the lines in pen and trust that my hand will be steady, and if it's not it adds character. Confidence. I've been preaching about that a lot lately...

It's good. We were learning all this stuff at school, but I don't know... I never wanted to draw by the rules... Maybe it's stupid, but I'm like that... I have to do it my way...

Well, I openly admit that my style is a rip-off of Frank Miller, so some rules work for me, and some don't. .
