Bio:
Mikhail is born to an unknown foreign mage who visited the Philippines to learn about their magical culture, and a local dream demon known as a “bangungot.” His father left soon after he was born, which left his mother to care for him through dreams. Eventually, she died because she refused to feed on other people's dreams after falling in love with Mikhail’s father.

Mikhail grew up outcast from society since he could see things that “do not exist.” He'd kicked out of orphanages, asylums, and police stations because of his antics. Despite his turbulent childhood, Mikhail developed sense of curiosity about things that he did not understand. He wanted to author an encyclopedia about everything that he could see.

One day he had a dream about an island out on the horizon. Any ordinary person may not have been able to see it, yet to him, it appeared as a blur. He picked up a letter by his feet with a prestigious looking logo and wax seal on it.

The dream ended when he decided to read what was inside. He found it strange that the letter was still in his hands after the dream ended. It was a letter of invitation to a school he had never heard of.
The Academy:

Mikhail has always wanted to learn more about the things he could see that others cannot. Sometime during his childhood, he developed the desire to create a comprehensive book that details magical and fantastic things. He accepted the invitation. This was his chance to explore the things that he could do, and perhaps learn more about his missing father.

A dream demon specific to the Philippine islands. They are infamous creatures that sit on their victims faces while they sleep, suffocating them to death amidst nightmares.
Abilities:
True Sight
A natural born ability that allows Mikhail to see things hidden by magic. He cannot tell the different between an invisible or visible object. It also allows him to see through illusions to an extent. Weak illusions such as camouflage and glamour do not apply to his eyes. Moderate illusions appear out of place, lined with a faint purple glow. Looking at these illusions cause him mild nausea. More powerful illusions do not truly register and appear as a kaleidoscope of color. He can get a split-second view of the true form behind the facade but he passes out as a defense mechanism. This can be hindered by anything that hinders real sight, such as blindfolds, bright light, dust, etc.

Dream Demon Physiology
Being born a half-dream demon has given Mikhail a set of abilities that come naturally to his kind. General powers include a minor boost in energy during nighttime, better vision, and slightly enhanced self-healing. Powers specific to his subcategory of demon include.

Dream Walking: Mikhail can travel into another person’s dreams by sleeping on them. He can last up to 15 mins and requires a 9-hour rest afterward before he can do it again. In order to return from someone else’s dream, he has to concentrate up to a minute. If he is not careful, he can be trapped in the person’s dream if his body was removed during sleep. He can also be kept in or kicked out by a dreamer with great mental strength. One trick that allows a person to eject him from the dream is wiggling one’s fingers or toes, although it takes a while.
Dream Eating: Mikhail can eat anything within a dreamscape, by removing a piece of an object within a dream and shaping it into food or eating it as it is. Depending on the kind of dream that a person is having, the flavor can vary. Good dreams taste like sweet champurrado while bad dreams taste like arroz caldo. Eating dreams gives him the same benefits as eating in real life. Overeating can cause him to become sick. He prefers eating bad dreams over good dreams because of this. When done in moderation, this ability does not cause harm to a dreamer.
Dream Manipulation: Mikhail can manipulate objects in a dream as if they were clay, however he cannot make any significant changes to the setting, time, or events that take place in the dream. If his identity as a dream demon is discovered in the dream, it will leave him vulnerable to the whims of the dreamer.. Normally he can interact with dreamscape environments much like a person can interact with real life objects. He does this my shaping and molding an object within a dream as if they were clay. Exceptions to this are buildings and structures, as well as the dreamer’s “self” within the dream.

Daydreams
Mikhail combines his dreamweaving ability with his true sight, allowing him to weave the thoughts of a person who is lost in thought. He is required to maintain eye contact to keep the illusion in place, though lacking in experience it only lasts for a minute at most. He has to eat dreams to regain the mana needed to use the ability.

When in use, it's fairly easy to tell the conjuration is a fake,. Mikhail is required to know an object inside and out thoroughly to make a convincing copy.

Mikhail commonly uses this power to make 1 duplicate of himself while he disappears from view (From the target's perspective.) As a visual illusion, the duplicates have no weight or substance and will dissipate at a touch, regardless if Mikhail maintains eye contact or if there is still some time left.
Weaknesses:
Injury Reflection: All injuries that happen to Mikhail while visiting a person’s dream are also sustained by his body in real life, this include the pain that comes with receiving said injuries. Exceptions to this are decapitation, disembowelment, and any sort of injury that will cause a part of his body to be removed. It will only appear as a scar of the sustained damage. If he returns from a dream without reattaching the body part, he loses all feeling in that area for about 24 hours.
Minor Holy Vulnerability: Holy items and imagery make him experience adverse reactions commonly appearing as rashes that grow and multiply all over his body. If he is inside any holy territory such as a church, a temple, or even simply a blessed room, for a prolonged period of time, he starts to lose his breath and weaken the longer he stays there.

Minor Sun Sensitivity: As a creature of the night, Mikhail’s skin reacts unfavorably to sunlight. The effect varies from the time of day. He can manage light that comes from dawn, with minor itching and discomfort, dusk is tolerable to an extent, but noon light is the most dangerous to him as it can cause him 1st degree burns.

Madness Vulnerability: Since his eyes can see the true forms of most magical beings, this makes him incredibly vulnerable to attacks that can harm his mental state. If caught in this situation he can become paralyzed with fear, unable to act, or even think. As an adaptation to this weakness his brain has to make him lose consciousness to avoid any permanent damage.

Body Vacancy: If trapped in a dream, Mikhail’s body enters a comatose state. He will not be able to wake up from this slumber unless the person whose dream he is kept in sleeps on his body.

Human Weaknesses: Mikhail is only half-dream demon and his human body is not particularly well built. He does not get much exercise which means his stamina and strength are below average and too much sleep can, and has given him a major headache on more than one occasion. His senses other than sight are very vulnerable to falsified experiences, with the added terror of not being able to see what is causing those sensory responses.
