(Edit: 24th May 2010)Wow, it's already 5 years since I submitted this artwork and really... time passed that fast.
Basically, I only minor edit this artwork in terms of coloring, adjusting her ears and busts, and a few unnoticeable changes. So don't expect for any perfection... as I plan to maintain as close as how it was last time. Yeah, sort of reminiscing the past of how my drawing looked like before.
So here I am to re-promote the old piece of mine!
And also, I may consider to draw realism version of Rinoa! Ah, it's an old Final Fantasy character but I'm sure there's still people like her... what y'all think? Good idea or bad?

LOL, I wasn't that good in drawing expression at that time. I just plan to draw her smile with an open mouth. Hehe, probably after my current art... I may go for Rinoa.

LOL, back then I was kind of hard to do variation in face look. All almost the same face regardless of any character. Thanks for the anticipating of Rinoa's realism. Now I'm struggling on my current artwork.. still long way to go.

I'm agreed with Epsilon856 that she does look alot like Tifa. You drew her so cute! I'd love to see a realistic Rinoa that you might will draw.
Not too many people like Rinoa but who cares about that. I sometimes like her and dislike her at same times. I can't explain why. XD
beside, I still think she's cutest character.
As for RPG. i don't like character designs. I've heard the rumors that FF8 might will be remade in the future.....

LOL, I think back then, the simplicity of the character design was due to limitation of PS1 graphics or their 3D programming software wasn't that advance compare to now. So Tetsuya have to draw them simple. If you compare with FF13 character... you're going to faint how detail the accessories are (yeah, like what happen to me when I draw Vanille, endless!).

I'm agreed. I'm in awe for FF13. I love the way how Tetsuyu put too many details on each of characters. They looks more so realistic than FF7:AC. I can tell 'cause he added texture on them!

Yeah, I think the reason why they can put textures and tiny details because of PS3 graphic technology that can allow us to see things in details.

LOL, is it? In my opinion, it's depends. Those who are good in anime drawing, not necessarily they are good in realism or vice versa. My case, my realism is better than anime drawing. Reason being, I'm not good in line art or anime way of shading (is it called cell-shading?). Either way, I realize my weakness is that I can't draw things without reference! Arghh.. must practice without it someday. LOL

It is funny, I dislike Rinoa, she is annoying, whiney, and stupid. But I just lover her character design! You pulled it off very well, and her skin was colored nicely.
