The Knowledge can keep information from him [such as how to get rid of it] but generally lets him access most information. Everything it knows it learned from existing, picking up information for centuries and storing it for its next host to use. Because it was forced into him against his will, Celeste wishes to rid of it, but uses it for good while he's in possession.
