Wow I'm really late on this. Thank you so much! I made this a year ago and while I've had a big rut in drawing, this is still my proudest piece. Thank you for the kind words.

Your anatomy makes me want to cry it's so beautiful. I love the movement going on here. I also love the grayish-blue background, it's all the piece needs. Gorgeous.

You know I used to, too. Just keep trying for those harder poses. I still always go to the same profile shots or 3/4 angles all the time. Things will come out wonky for a while but it'll eventually become clearer. Always let your visualization evolve with your drawing. If what's on the paper isn't exactly like what you see in your head, it's all good, just go with the flow and let it grow. It helps you get into the groove of the picture your working on instead of focusing on what it is not

i just finished a drawing where i focused more on the shapes of the figure and the shadows... so its hard for me to be disappointed when i was more or less blindly drawing. (not drawing from an idea or inspiration) just some simple pencil to paper action.

Mee too. You'd think in a near anti-gravity environment would allow fat to form in the most convenient places. Or at least the most attractive - and everything would remain naturally perk! Haha

I didn't want them to be so flimsy looking at first but if she has such a long tail it makes sense they would be wider and a little stout. I wish I were a mermaid :/
