Inspired by the upcoming Disney movie Wreck-It Ralph - Ralph is a brawny character in a video game called Fix-It Felix Jr., where he wrecks a building and Felix tries to fix it - sadly Ralph isn't happy with his job of being the 'bad guy'.Haven't seen the trailer yet? Here it is - [link]

You're welcome. And you understand what I mean by how back in the 80's whenever an arcade game were to hit a home console like the Collecovision chances are the box cover was to contain artwork much different from the cabinet.

Excellent homage to the video game of "Donkey Kong," which launched the Nintendo company's status of making video games into the stratosphere! 
And yes, I know that technically in THAT video game series, Cranky Kong is supposed to be the ORIGINAL Donkey Kong with Donkey Kong Jr. having now become THE Donkey Kong, but the basic principle is the same.

Actually, Donkey Kong Jr is a weird case.
He's Cranky's son, but the current Donkey Kong is usually called Cranky's grandson. Though he was called his son in DK 64.
This would make the current Donkey Kong the son of Donkey Kong Jr. But then that leads to the question of what even happened to Donkey Kong the 2nd?

Well, I was going by the statement of "Donkey Kong 64," that Donkey Kong was Cranky Kong's son, making him "Donkey Kong Jr." And I consider that statement to be the official story of just where and were the "Donkey Kong" characters ended up.

Problem there is that more Donkey Kong games say Cranky is his grandson. The latest Donkey Kong game (Donkey Kong Country Returns) even says grandson.
I think DK64 might have been an attempt by Rare to retcon modern DK as DK JR., but after Rare got bought by Microsoft, Nintendo ended up undoing that retcon, putting us right back where we started with DKC1 saying grandson and leaving Donkey Kong Jr. as some mystery.

Of course it would be easier. I used to think that was the truth myself. Especially during the time of DK 64.
But alas. DK Jr is someone else entirely. And knowing Nintendo, we will never see him. After all, DK Jr. Last appeared in a new game in 2000
