This is a picture I did of two rock monsters battling each other in an arena. Here we have a Golem (from Monster Rancher) getting the better of a Rhydon (from Pokemon).Poor Rhydon.

The other thing about breeding in the MR games was that when you made a sub type monster, say a pixie that was part joker (resulting in a very gothic looking pixie) the new monster could get access to some of the sub types personality traits and attacks (for example the part-joker pixie was bad natured as opposed to good, but could get the joker move "death final" that pure bred pixies could not). Loved those games.

My mind almost exploded. I haven't thought of Monster Ranchers in so long and seeing that just flooded me with memories of the show.

I liked this look on MR Golem best. its design seems greatly dumbed down since (unless the DS ones changed designs again?) and I've only played MRA2 and MR4. Eh, I guess it's because this Golem reminds me of Giant Robo... which is funny because I think the first time I saw Robo, I was like, "Hey, that's Golem or something." Heheh.

I see what you mean. The art of the later Monster Rancher games looks simplified. I based this Golem's appearance in the cartoon series.
