Hey...isn't that Mario as he appeared on the Saturday Supercade that one time?

This is both an amazing idea for a picture, as well as an amazing execution of said idea! I love everything about this!

Thanks! Mario's pre-Super games are often underappreciated I hope people realise how great they were.

I couldn't agree more! They were short games, but they're still among the best.

It's funny, but it is pretty original idea for Modern Mario and the Jump-Man(Classic Mario) from 1981 of Donkey Kong(first appearance) to the present games of "Super Mario" series of the version "SONIC GENERATIONS".

Everyone else just uses the older Super Mario as the 'classic' Mario, but they should look a little further, unless it's SUPER Mario Generations of course

It appears "Jumpman Mario" is the character design from the Donkey Kong cartoon. As far as I've seen, the cartoon was the first time Mario had a voice, and his actor was Peter Cullen. [link]

Ah, yeah! Sonic's got nothing on Mario if this game gets released!
Very interesting concept, dude!

What you talking about? Sonic's never got anything on Mario

More like Mario's got nothing on Sonic if this game gets released, as it'll mean Mario ran out of ideas to the point he had to copy Sonic!

Nice, I've seen a few people do their own "Mario Generations" pic, (as a parody of "Sonic Generations") but I like your's best, considering you're actually aware of Mario's original "Popeye-ish" design in the 1981 "Donkey Kong" arcade game. Great work on this one. I also like your "Mario Generations" logo design.

Thanks
Originally it was to poke fun at how Mario hasn't changed that much, but then I saw 'Jumpman' Mario and thought "hey, I'll use this guy!". I'm pleased with the logo too (I based the little scenes on different Mario games) - glad you approve

The 3D stages in recent Sonic games feature the most innovative gameplay the series has seen since the Genesis days.

that was the point with sega cd and dreamcast thats exactly the point it dosent work anymore .they have to create a new way i dont mean new stages i mean the whole game.no ofense man, but even mario games are getting way to boring.it dosent mean that i dont care but i will stick with classic games.

Wait, you were talking about the games or about yourself about the part of not having imagination anymore? =?

Wait... shouldn't it be in reverse? Past Mario looks so OLD compared to Future Mario. Even the softer/darker switched colors on him. Mario really has been going younger and younger over the years.

I see what you mean xD originally I was gonna go with his Mario Bros appearance for the past one, but then I remembered Donkey Kong.

Ironic that I didn't think Mario had changed much. After Super Mario Bros, he stayed the same pretty much xD

Hmm...I wonder what a "modern" Mario would look like anyways? I think it'd be freaky to see a young adult version of him. Gotta appeal to the teenagers somehow, haha!

It would sure be interesting if they made a Mario game that mashed the mechanics of the past 26 years together. Love what you did with the logo. C:

I'm quite happy with how it turned out myself, considering this was done out of quickness. The game should start off on the first level of Donkey Kong.
