Description
Here is a short film I made from September 2006 to May 2007 for my BA Hons animation degree - "Mat the Demented Rabbit".
The story involves Mat, a rabbit on the run from the relentless cops of Deco City. It is not until the end that you find out why.
Yeah, I know. The sound ain't the best and the story is, well...but I consider this film an experiment, to see what I could and couldn't do. But most of all, it was my chance to have fun and make my very own movie, with my own characters.
I hope you like it

Well, I drew the frames on animation paper first, and then scanned them into Photoshop where I coloured them in.
I pieced the frames together in layers with Adobe After Effects (I actually used Flash to do this at first, which still did the trick though it really isn't meant for editing bitmap video).

Woah, that must've taken some time if you drew everything on paper!! o__o
but thats what i thought. you're really impressive! i could never do something so good xD
and the sound? were they recorded by you? was it hard to syncronize it? xD you can tell me if im annoying lol i bet i am xD

No, don't feel you're annoying ^^
Sounds were generally added after the animation was done. However, voices had to be synchronised, so they were done before the animation. The sound of the words were marked down on a timeline on paper to help decide when a mouth movement needed to be drawn.
You know what? Maybe I should make a FAQ journal since you might not be the only one to ask questions Thankyou for your interest.

Aaaah no problem! Another question -shot- xDD
how many hours/time did you spent on that? did you want to give up at some point?

I was at university 5 days a week, and perhaps worked on the animation for an average of 5 hours a week (including lazy time xD). It's a very specific question which I really don't know the answer to.
Giving up was not an option. I had no intention of failing the course by not finishing my film. So I was determined to finish it no matter what.

True, true. The way the police see it, they only need to do their job, and that's to catch that rabbit! xD
I should really work more on storywriting

Keep on!

I admit the sound was something I experimented with, and it's not really my field. It's true that the sound could've been done better
I consider the film itself an experiment of techniques. I'm happy you like the humour.
