Description
Baxter was once a promising student in the field of Steam Powered Biochemistry (S.P.B). That was, until his tutor, one Dr. Hildaguard Metzger decided that Baxtor would make an excellent test subject for her vile experiments.
Baxter soon became completely insane and homicidal and was committed to Victorian London's notorious Bedlam Mental Asylum. He spent many years slowly being consumed by his own madness and anger towards Metzger. Baxter may have completely lost all humanity if it wasn't for one of the young nurses, Sister Eleanora, at the asylum who cared for him. She seemed to be the only one to calm his disturbed mind. One night Baxter awakes to find his cell door open and the wardens drugged. Unsure who has enabled his escape he flees with one person on his mind - Dr. Hildaguard Metzger!

For me personally it's mostly Internet research
So this series albeit steampunk is still victorian England, so I'll research stories, crimes all that stuff from the time period and I'll try and connect to whatever character it fits or I'll make references to Victorian novels etc

I'll be honest haven't quite decided on the type of experimentation that was done to him yet but the professor that did experiment on him deals with toxins, mutation and re-animating the dead so I can't imagine it was pleasent

Ah but you see when he was mysteriously set free his mechanical restraints were set on timers which periodically give him much more freedom. Also he makes great use of the rest of his body as well as those chains and seriously dangerous box on his head

Yeah the setting for my story is mostly in the London area. Im aware that Bedlam itself has moved to various locations in its lifetime. As far as I'm aware it was England's first mental institution

There will certainly be many locations through out the story and chatacters from around globe from Wales to Japan. With the Jack the Riper case being quite heavily featured in a few of the characters stories, London had to be the main setting
