Description
From the sky above came falling jewels… Paper thin leaves, forming colourful confetti: golds, browns, oranges - landing so softly on the fresh green grass.

From the sky above came falling jewels… Pearlised tiny droplets, raining down: settling silently on the crisp leaves - decorating them so delicately, holding their perfect form.

From the sky above came so many joys, all highlighted as sunshine touched every detail, however small and sent a warm glow across the autumn carpet of fallen jewels.

Photograph was taken a couple of Autumn's ago, while the poem was written 7 March 2022, when I was thinking about the two types of jewels in this photograph; so dissimilar, yet both fall from above: both sparkle so beautifully in sunshine and both together make me smile.
