This is such an awesome picture. As to what he/she/it is doing... well... I kinda think it's a person having a cardiac arrest while shapeshifting into a gryphon!

he lost everything he got. his wife was murdered by an assassin sent by the royal family. his daugther and his two month old son were kidnapped. it was just a coincidence that they didn't catch him as well. he was late, busy with too much work his chief gave him. he bought a few flowers for his wife, as some kind of apology. when he entered the floor they lived in and say the door being open, he was smiling. his daughter was trying to fly for the last few weeks, maybe she is just outside. he wondered where those huge scratches came from. he opened the door completely and was shocked. the living room was a mess. nothing on its usual place, most things were broken. he ran to the kitchen, no one there, no one in the sleeping room and in the children's room either. where were they, he thought. he found a little note right in the middle of the living room. he could barely read anthing because the light was blinking. he went on the top of the house. which wasn't a house actually, it was rather a cloud, made of solid matter. all of those creatures were living there, thousands of miles above the heads of the people who were living on the planet's surface. those two people didn't even know of each other. when he opened the note he saw the emblem of the roayl family, what has the royal family to do with that mess, he said. his neighbors opened the windows and shouted at him to be quiet at this time of the day. with the help of the last sun beams arrivung on that sheet he could read what was written there. one of his neighbors, the one he never came along with, suspected him to have betrayed the king. so that was it all about. just because a idiot like him, who was telling the royal guard nonsense, his family was abducted. even in such a high developed culture, betrayel is the worst weapon imaginable. having lost everything he got, he just stood there and was crying. he was crying loudly.
so many things i like in this picture, the cloud, the cloth he is wearing, his wings, his pose. but i especially like the idea. well done.
