Description
I finished it! This is a piece based on the song 'Hidden Place' by Bjork. There will hopefully be a larger, unwatermarked, slightly altered (to take the human face out) version in the Symphonies in Fur Minor portfolio, and I'll probably have a jumbo print in the AC art show.Done 100% in Photoshop 7.

Beautiful painting, very dreamy, though the feathers around the ball of light don't look as fluffy as teh ones on the tip of the wing and the head, was that done on purpose?

this is slightly reminiscent of one of our greatest surrealists Max Ernst, though considerably less disturbing. your work is beautiful and comforting. wonderful!

Wow, you know what I think is funny? When I glanced at this picture, I thought of Bjork.

Stunning! I like how the feathers curl around the whole piece like extra appendages. I donβt know why, but I got the impression the person/bird is blind. It may have to do with the mouth slightly agape and the fact that she seems to be analyzing that red glow without her eyes. Or maybe she's just meditating? Non-the-less, my fav in this pic is the fat little bird on the bottom right. It has a finer sense of carrying its weight than the other birds, (and itβs extra fluffy

It's rather sad to hear that you might have to remove the human face in this one because it says something true, at least to me. No matter how badly we all want to be something else, we are still ourselves inside, which can be good or bad or both.
