Deep in the woods, under the short, scrubby oak trees lies a single headstone.None live who remember what's buried there, and none are curious enough to disturb the sleeping soil and find out.
Each evening in fall, just as the last of the orange sunlight drains from the forest, candles are lit around the marker.
It is whispered that the light from these candles cast away the shadows which would otherwise rise and wreak their mischief upon the small village nearby.
Something spooky for the season, I love fall!
