I looked at all my Chasing Dragons characters one day and thought to myself, "That's a lot of white people. How can I change this?"Cassiah is Indian now. Well actually half-Indian. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
I briefly mentioned in her bio how she just lives with her mom, Ophelia. Her parents fought all the time because they met in college when he went overseas to get away from his parents. They stayed together for Cassiah, but couldn't handle it anymore because Ophelia wasn't being a "traditional" wife. So when they divorced, Ophelia reverted to using her maiden name and Cassiah followed suit.
The reason Cassiah's name isn't Indian? Ophelia is a bit overbearing and Kunja (Cassiah's dad) thought it was nice to name their daughter after Ophelia's late grandmother.
