OC stands for Original Character
it means a character that has been made up
like micky mouse would be a walt disney OC cause he made him
and like Fang is my OC cause i created him

may i strongly recomend GIMP
its a free graphic softwear like photoshop
so you can use layers, paths and transparnesy so you
wont get the blocky outline
i use it for some of my work like this one [link]

if you learn little bits at a time you will soon be
exploting different techniques and uses
