For portraits, I tend to stick with the white frames because I find them more attractive that way. Black frames are great but sometimes, it depends on the color of the image. In this image, Pablo is perfect with a white frame. A black frame would look awkward to me for some reason. So I suggest to stay with the white frame.

I myself like frames with some exceptions. In this case, I think the frame works just fine. I know some people do not like frames at all. I am curious how this would look with a black border, though. Did you try it? Not to say that it doesn't look good with the white border, because it does.
