Description The ARC's standard rifle as of 2336, used to deadly effect against UNMC troops during the Factions War. Even against the technologically superior UNMC, the ARC was able to even the odds on the ground with the Actura rifle, which garnered the nickname "Ackies" by UN soldiers who saw it's potential for killing during the war.

Liking this, sleek look.

Thank you, i was going for sleek to reinforce the fact that the ARC stole most of this weapon's design from the UNMC. Sleek and futuristic looks aren't the ARC's style at all.

Well, great many a invention was created through theft, the AK-47 takes so much from the StG 44 you could say that the Germans invented it.

Can't argue with that, i forgot the AK was based off of the STG so much. With this gun it didn't end up being a real game changer or anything like the AK, but it was a close contender to the UN's weapons in the long run.

And the StG wasn't the first assault rifle either, the Russians had a bullpup-design assault rifle with 30 rounds way earlier. Quite amazing what they had going in the design labs that people just don't know about.

Really? I didn't even know that one, i'll have to look that up to find out about it. I like all that gun history stuff it's pretty cool to know about. And the Russians need to get their credit for that!

There are simple rifles with higher fire rates like the Fedorov Avtomat from 1915 as well, but the coolest is still the bullpup TBK-408. Looks really advanced for a rifle from 1943.

Wow i looked up that TBK rifle and its pretty sick, especially for being made in the forties. It reminds me of some guns now actually, not surprising since a lot of designs tend to stay pretty close.

I learned of it from a game called Hammer&Sickle. Would have been great if that actually had been a good game and not a buggy piece of crap with barely any explanations or indications as to how you're supposed to get the good ending, instead of just causing WW3 and that's it then.

Hmm i don't think i've ever heard of it, is it like a recent game or more old school? It sucks when games with potential end up being glitchy, and adding unclear endings just don't help out. (Looks at Mass Effect 3)

It's around 2005, I think the previous games, Silent Storm and Silent Storm: The Sentinels, are among the best tactical games around, with fully destructible environments. There's nothing more satisfying than breaking a heavily entrenched Nazi position by blowing the ENTIRE BUILDING UP. Serious zen moments right there. Also it has mech suits, but they kind of ruin the game because they are essentially immortal unless the enemy carries Beam weapons. It's this weird Red Alert style WW2 with Thor's Hammer, a secret organisation, capitalizing on both sides of the war growing weaker as the fighting continues and they would emerge as rulers of the world once the war comes to it's bloody and devastating conclusion. So it falls to you to prevent the Hammer guys from launching their giant green Ion Cannon and taking over the world.

Huh, that really sounds like a crazy cool game to play, how have I not hear of that? A lot of games today can't even offer up fully destructible environments on that scale, like dropping whole buildings and all which would be awesome to do, there would be a lot of cheering and happiness from me after bringing down a whole building on the bad guys heads. And the story sounds pretty cool too I think I'm going to have to keep an eye out for this game now.

It's on Amazon, for ridiculous prices sometimes though, you might be able to pick it up very cheap though, it's really worth the purchase. Player-driven semi-dynamic campaign, destructible environment, hilarious voice acting, very entertaining whole.

This needs to be further investigated, maybe when i actually get some money and stop being poor I can try out this game, if not amazon at least ebay would have it, you can find like anything in the world there.

That's the bay for you. I've found great stuff for a fraction of it's price there.

That's why it's so great, it tends to be a lot cheaper than like Amazon or other stores online, and it's usually got a bigger selection of stuff, although it can be a little shady sometimes.

You tell me. Always remember to check how much money you actually just placed, or that new t-shirt or watch might suddenly become a lot more expensive than planned.

Thanfully I haven't had anything like that happen, I think I've done all my buying off of Amazon and then sell stuff on Ebay, just so there's no rip offs going on.
