Description There's an influence map in my favorites by a very very talented artost, so I decided to do one myself. You can find a link to the meme at his page, which can be located at the bottom of the pic.

These were all major influences of mine, and they've impacted me a lot in my work.

1) DRAGON BALL Z BUDOKAI 3: Single-handedly, this game caused my to create the doujin DRAGON BALL NEW AGE. I must have played this game all the way through at least 50 times. The fights were incredible, and I wish it would make a come-back on a next-gen system (with upgrades of course. WHERE'S OUR DAMN CHARACTER CREATOR?!) So yeah, if you read DBNA, thank this game for making it possible.

2) MARK BAGLEY AND SPIDER-MAN: Before DBZ, for me, there was Spider-Man. To this day, Spider-Man remains my favorite western Super-Hero, and in my opinion, no artist does him better justice than Mark Bagley. Bagley's art has had a huge impact on my own personal art style, as his anatomical rendering of people, backgrounds, and battles are second-to-none here in the US. Other honorable mentions in this category go to Erik Larsen.

3) YU-GI-OH CARTOON AND TCG: Almost as long as I've drawn DBNA, I've watched and played Yu-Gi-Oh. Granted, the american dub of YGO is pretty cheesy, but it's aimed at a much younger audience, so that can't be helped. Moreover, the TCG has the biggest influence because it introduced me to a lot of people who helped me along the way, and became my closest friends. As cheesy as it may sound, Tea Gardner has it right: "I'm talking about FRIENDSHIP!"

4) NARUTO: This includes the Shippuden stuff as well. Not so much the cartoon, but the Manga. Masashi Kishimoto's art and battle scenes are comparable to Toriyama-sensei, and some of them are downright epic. Naruto is frequently one of my most read segments in SHonen Jump. Another honorable mention goes to One-Piece and Bleach, for similar reasons.

5) AKIRA TORIYAMA: Anyone who frequents my page should know this one is a no-brainer. Perhaps my largest influence in all facets of my art and style. Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and even Dragon Ball GT have given me something that will stay with me all my life. His perfect blend of action, humor, and story make for compelling and interesting storytelling, and I have done my best to try and uphold his style and value in my own work. He is my sensei, and I hope to do him proud.

6) ZORC: We're identical twins. Its true. We both look exactly the same.

7) THE OCCULT: Not so much on Deviant Art, but in other facets of my work outside of DBNA. The Occult and Supernatural have spawned two of my best works; THE DARK CHAPTER CHRONICLES, which was a Manga serial that ran in my high school newspaper for my junior and senior years. And BLOOD RITE, a Blade-meets-Sin City vampire noir story that won 2nd place and people's choice in the 2006 Comic Symposium at LCC. I find the occult and supernatural to be fascinating, and I frequently ghost hunt do to such.

8) PHILLY CHEESESTEAKS: When I find I'm in a writer/ artist's block situation, it seems nothing gets the creative juices flowing better than sitting down to watch anime while chowing on an awesome Philly Cheesesteak! So far, I have been to Pat's and Geno's in Philadelphia(reputedly the top 2 cheesesteak places in the country), Famous Philly's in Florida, and numerous other places. Famous Philly's by far is the best. If you're in the Florida area, find one and try it!

9) BLEEDMAN, THE PPGD, AND GRIM TALES: An artist here on dA and SNafu Comics, Bleedman has put together quite possibly two of the most, if-not the most, famous and popular doujins of all-time: The Power-Puff Girls Doujinshi and Grim Tales from Down Below. These spectacular spectacles of art and story are amazing, and Bleed's art never ceases to impress. He drives me to make my doujin as good as it can be.

10) THE CTHULHU MYTHOS: Somewhat hand-in-hand with my Occult influences is the Cthulhu Mythos of H.P. Lovecraft. His powerful and frightening storytelling of alien creatures who lie patiently awaiting the day to once again subjugate humanity, and his looks into the fragile mind of man have both horrified and compelled artists and readers for decades. The video-game based on this mythos, CALL OF CTHULHU: DARK CORNERS OF THE EARTH, remains on of my favorite games to date.

11) SCI-FI, ACTION, AND HORROR MOVIES: From live action to anime, these movies are my bread-n-butter. Some of things people come up with are so thought provoking, awe-inspiring, and shocking that you can't help but remember them forever. The sc-fi and action genre has influenced perhaps one of my (hopefully) biggest future achievement and undertaking; the story called THE LEGACY, a story set in a fuedal world where a malevolent king has begun to use alien technology to subjugate the land, and only his amnesiac brother Dineas, the last wielder of Light-Craft, can stop him. Some movies that influence my work include: The One, AKIRA, Afro Samurai, the Alien film series, Kill Bill, Kiss of the Dragon, Signs, The Predator film series, The Mummy film series, The Poughkeepsie Tapes, The Last Airbender, and many many others...

12) THE JOKER: Few villians have stood the test of time like The Joker. With Heath Ledger's Oscar winning performance behind him, The Joker lept to the fore-front of villians everywhere. There are few foes of Batman so calculating, so mad, so dangerous. He influences a lot of villians in my outside works.

13) EPIC TACO TUESDAYS: Believe it or not, I come up with a lot of ideas eating tacos. Turning a pizza into a monsterous taco is one of them.

14) ZOMBIE SURVIVAL MOVIES AND GAMES: The undead are a source of much entertainment and enginuity. When I wanna hunker-down and watch a splatterfest, its time for 28 Days Later, Resident Evil,Night of The Living Dead, and so on. When I wanna simmer down after spending the day drawing, I pop in Left 4 Dead and go to work with my brother and slaughter countless infected. The literature on Zombie SUrvial is so interesting as well, and actually provides a lot of helpful survival tips.

Which, I'll add, can be really simple.
Where did the Namekians gain the power to make wishing dragons? You could expand on that idea. Or something, lol.

Idea: trade off the androids with some sort of Lovecraftian/Venom/dark story. It would be more original and less sounding like a rehash of Super Android 13
