While making look all glowy with Photoshop post-processing probably defeats any sci-fi "potential realism" in this piece, I think, regardless, it looks neat XD. [link]
And to think I'll I did was open it in Photoshop, duplicate the background (itself) onto another layer, and set that layer to color dodge. Feel free to use it to, but make sure you say something like "Apophysis 2.04 with some Photoshop 7.0 post-processing". I don't care if you cite me or not on this one since it was so simple.
