Hi I'm from Project Comment and I really like your Padparadscha she's so cute! I like how you did the double outline around her, really makes the whole thing pop. Your lines are so crisp, and I really like the slight variations within the line. Having the line not be the same width all the way through definitely is the way to go. Some things that I would recommend to make this piece even better would be to do more with highlights! Shading is always nice but adding highlights on top of that always makes everything better. You could add some on the hair, and on top of the sleeves and dress poof. Your shading is nice, but might I recommend that for the bang shading, you make the shadows the same shape as the bangs? The dress skirt shadows also look a bit off. I would do the spike shades from the bottom instead of the top of the skirt, since that would give more of a feel of the skirt resting on the floor, and indicate above lighting as the rest of the shadows suggest.
You're doing great so keep it up!

Thanks for the comment! I admit I was a bit lazy with shading on this piece, but I'll be sure to pay more attention to the shapes of the shadows I make in future drawings! I also agree, I think this piece could use more highlights haha. I've been adding more of them to more recent drawings as well.

i'd first like to say that this is super adorable, the pose shows her personalty totally! But it kind of is a little bit stiff, maybe movig her shoulders to enhance that she is laughing or giggling at lars antics or stevens, also, i love that there are multiple layers of colors, and that it is not just a couple of flat colors mushed together! it looks pretty well put, and the colors you chose were simply perfect, i also like the way you drew her mouth! it's so sly, and adorable it really is good! other than those, you did a well job on this, and i really like it! Good job~ <3

Hey, thanks for the critique! I will take note of the shoulders and how they should look more often, haha. I've only recently started to work on expressions and poses that aren't fairly boring or standard so that's actually quite a helpful suggestion.
