"Damn… I'm so frickin' bored!" Alfred flipped onto his back while watching TV shoes he wasn't into. Once against he groaned. "I need something to do…" Just then, an idea popped into his head as he whipped out his phone and dialed a number.

"Hello?" someone on the other side answered.

"(Name)! How about we hang out?"

Alfred could hear his friend sigh. "Sorry, Al, I'd love to, but you know that I was up late and—"

"Please? I'm really bored and I need something to do! If you come here, you can sleep, okay?"

"… fine. But only 'cause your couch is really soft!"

He laughed happily. "Great! See you later then!"

"…'Kay…"

The doorbell rang as Alfred sped to the door.

"Hey, (Name), right this way!" he chirped, even though she's been here before. He took her hand and led her to the couch, which he had a blanket folded on top. "As promised, you are free to sleep!"

"Thanks, Al. I'm really sorry. I know you wanted to hang out, but—"

"No need to be sorry, (Name). Everything is fine! It's just really boring to be by myself." He sat her down and covered her with the blanket.

(Name) smiled at him. "Alright." She took the messenger bag off her shoulder and placed it on the coffee table.

On a whim, he placed an arm around her and clicked a button on the remote to play the movie. He got so into the movie that he didn't know (Name) fell asleep until she leaned on his shoulder.

He chuckled to himself before eyeing the bag. It's in there. It's totally in there. N-No, Alfred F. Jones, resist the urge! After a few minutes of biting his lip, Alfred took his arm around her away and reached for the bag.

Alfred successfully got his hand inside and slipped out the precious notebook. He beamed childishly as he opened it with excitement.

This wasn't the first time he did so. (Name) wasn't aware, but every once in a while, Alfred would take a quick peek inside.

He loved the work she did, but there was one that always caught his eye.

I have to say that I'm quite envious of Al. He's really lucky to have such a childlike wonder, and he's not easily swerved from what people say about him. That's what makes him popular, right? He's one of the most popular kids in the school and he can actually stomach some of Arthur's food. Although I'm still curious about how.

His dusty blonde hair must be really soft. He's really nice and his obsession with being the hero makes him pretty cute. Not to mention Al's really handsome. He's a great friend, but sometimes, I wish we could be more than that.

He smiled. It always made him happy to read that and know that she felt the same way. Alfred looked at (Name) and gave her a gentle peck on the cheek. He felt the same way, but he just didn't know how to approach the subject.

He knows that if he looks into her (eye color) eyes, he'll freeze up and avoid it yet again.

"Al…?" he heard her croak while reaching out to rub her eyes. Quickly, he put the notebook back into the bag. "How long was I sleeping?" (Name) asked as she adjusted to a comfortable position and ended up nestling against him. Alfred just felt butterflies in the pit of his stomach and couldn't tell if he was happy to be so close or embarrassed.

After a few minutes, Alfred decided to speak up. "H-hey, (N-Name), let's say that I wanted to bring this girl out for the perfect date."

"Oh! Is it that girl in our math class? (Girl Name)? I always see you staring at her."

He gave his signature laugh. "I'll tell you soon, (Embarassing Nickname)."

She pouted. "Don't try me, Jones."

"Anyways, I was thinking that I should watch a movie with her… maybe like this." Alfred jest urged to the current situation.

"Well, what's wrong with that?" she happily chirped. "Just get a bit romantic, Al!"

Alfred noticed that there was no falter in her voice. Usually, she would sound a bit hurt at times like this. But not here.

"B-but I don't have a romantic side…"

"What?"

Alfred started getting shyer and his voice was getting softer. "It's hard to have a romantic side, (Name). I just don't have one."

"You definitely have one! Why else do you think so many girls love you? You're a really cool guy who can get romantic!"

"B-but I don't want to think about all those girls! What about this girl? W-What if this girl doesn't like me?"

Great, my inner Matthew is coming out…

He looked at (Name) and noticed that she was frowning. Unusually, she scooted away from Alfred. "Who are you and what did you do with Al?"

"What do you mean? It's me, (Name)!"

(Name) faced Alfred and crossed her legs. "Alfred F. Jones, you are a man! no, you are supposed to be the hero! The hero always gets the girl, right?"

"Well, yeah, but—"

"No buts! You will not stop until you get the girl of your dreams!"

A new burning passion began to surge through him. "You're right! I frickin' love her! And I know that she loves me too, so what the hell's stoppin' me now!"

"That's the spirit, Al! You go get 'em, tiger!" she cheered.

"Hell yeah!"

Without thinking, he tackled (Name) to the couch, catching the girl in a kiss. A very soft, passionate, pleasurable, and absolutely loving kiss to be exact. Though still a bit in shock, she found herself melting into the kiss absentmindedly.

The second he pulled back, her face was dusted with a blush. "W-wrong girl, wrong girl!"

Alfred shook his head with a lighthearted chuckle. "Nope, I'm right. I'm in love with you, (Name)." He gave her a kiss on the forehead. "More than anything in the world."

He gazed down at (Name), who was trying to cover her blush with a couch pillow.

He laughed a bit. "Aw, come on, it's not that bad, is it? You look cute with that blush." Slowly, he pried away that pillow. "Do you love me?"

"O-of course I do…" She tried to look away from him with embarassement.

"Then that's all I need to know."

He dipped down and kissed her again with the gentlest of touches.

"By the way, Al, have you been reading my journal?"

He gulped. "W-well…"

"You quoted that last part, didn't you?" She looked at him suspiciously.

"What!? You wanted it to be romantic, right?"
