My Ellen Ripley costume, from the end of Aliens.People have been telling me for years that I resemble the character, so I couldn’t resist building it! I paid very close attention to accuracy due to the way the apparent “ease” of the costume leads to a lot of poor renditions. Basically everything here was built by me, either from bottom-up like the bandolier rig and cargo pants, or was heavily modified from the source, such as the shoes (which have been torn apart, reconstructed, and painted). The pulse rifle was constructed by myself, it is a kitbash of several fan cast parts (mostly Matsuo) plus airsoft.

I have not built the flamethrower. The pulse rifle is a kitbash of airsoft parts and Matsuo cast pieces.

Could you tell me how you made the upper part of the reeboks or a tutorial?

I don't have enough pictures for a tutorial, but basically, I cut out the tongue and moved it up higher on the shoe, then sewed it back on. I then patterned/sewed the top wrap-around portion out of vinyl (making an extra strap with velcro as I went) and hand-stitched it to the top of the shoe. Then repainted the whole thing. Sorry I can't be more detailed, it really was just a lot of staring at it all until it made sense.

Yep! Sewn from the ground up. Started with a very basic pant pattern, then modified it heavily to match the ones on screen.
