Info: When searching through an old junkyard, the remains of KITT (Knight Industries Three Thousand) and KARR (Knight Automated Roving Robot) were discovered by Professor Maneir Ikre. Ikre decided to rebuild and, in KARR's case, reprogram the two AI's and give them new bodies as well: Rio-Ohki Vehicle Industries Firebird Knight Rider (ROVI-FBKR), a.k.a. the "Phoenix". And after reverse engineering the two AI's, Ikre and Hakubi managed to create a third: Douglas.
