-sunny days (to go out and people watch)

Dislikes:
-staying indoors for too long
-raw fish/fishing (they look slimy and gross to him lol)
-people mispronouncing his name
(people have called him “Hunky”
rather than “Hyun-Ki” because of this,
hence his chosen American name)
-early mornings (they’re evil)
-people taking pictures of his face
(he doesn’t know why, but he doesn’t like the camera on his face,
only on what he’s wearing lol)

Personality:
-Quiet: He loves people watching, thus is completely fine with staying by himself, which he enjoys, yet at the same time is not repelled by socializing.
-Mischievous: Because he has a calm demeanor, sometimes he likes to use that as a disguise to pull a small prank on friends, because who could ever blame the quiet little Asian boy who sits and around watching people? (kekeke)
-Slow: Sometimes his daydreaming gets out of hand, hence sometimes you can’t tell if he’s listening or not, even though he’s looking right at you.
-Passionate: He loves designing clothes and will never stop! This drive also applies to other tasks he takes on or is given to him, if he deems them worthy of working his butt off for. However, sometimes this leads to lack of sleep and stress (which he tends to keep to himself); in fact, he passed out at a cafe he usually visits because of an all-nighter trying to finish up his portfolio for this college (luckily one of the waiters was his friend to take him home pfffft).

Background:
Benjamin moved to California after graduating high school from Korea because his father’s job requirement. His mother died of cancer, thus the funeral and medical bills piled up, not to mention college expenses, so his father had a better opportunity of earning more money by moving to America. Benjamin and his father don’t see much of each other often because of work and school, but keep their relationship intact whenever they have the chance to spend time together. Benjamin’s parents had wanted him to become a mathematician because of his exceptional math skills; however, his passion was in art, and it obviously showed. The Art-Project college is one of his top 5 choices of colleges in his list, and hopes to have his application accepted, since he has a friend to enroll with.

Back in high school, Benjamin wasn’t very sociable, especially after his mother’s death. For a while, he became so introvert, at times he wouldn’t speak much, even with his father. Designing was his way to cope with the sadness and stresses of life, which slowly brought back his smile. Moving to California was Benjamin’s way of starting over. One of his goals is to make an effort to make some new friends and have his design name spread, slowly, but surely. Wish him luck!
