Several people have asked me how I do those cloudy skies of mine (which I tend to use too much, but hey, that's my way of distracting you from the constant lack of backgrounds *he he*) so here is anoter Crappy Tutorial of Doom!!
I use Photoshop CS2, but it can all be done with earlier versions.
Warning: Big file
Oh and if you want to thank anyone for this, thank my Photoshop guardian angel, because he's the one who taught me

I have Photoshop CS2 and for whatever reason, it won't let me select the "cloud" option. Is there some missing step?

That's odd, no one has ever said they couldn't do it. Did you make sure to create a new layer for the clouds? Sorry, that's all I can think of.

Every time I've tried to paint clouds for pictures, they've absolutely sucked. I never thought of making clouds like this, mostly because I didn't know it could be done. I'm so glad I stumbled across this, it's so simple!

I'm trying to do this right now, but I've got two problems, because I'm using PS Elements 4.0 and some things are a bit different, plus, I have everything in German.
- I can't set the layer on "screen", or anything similar
- I can't find Image>Adjustments>Levels
Do you have any idea where I can find these things in another Photoshop version?

I'm sorry, I don't know Elements. I know that it doesn't have everything the 'real' Photoshop has so you might not be able to use the blending modes (Screen) but I'm pretty sure the Levels should be somewhere. I think I know someone who uses Elements (don't know what version, though) so I'll try to have a look.
