Whooo, didn't think I'd get the colouring done yesterday afternoon! As usual, the hair was a b!tch to shade and I've gone a bit crazy with it but I quite like the way it looks, for once. Curly hair is love!!

Oh Hai, new OC-I-shouldn't-have-drawn

Meet Alex. And here are a few facts about him (I'll try not to say much since he really should only be inside my head still...): • Virtually deaf in his left ear. Loss of hearing started as an infant and eventually got pretty bad when he was about 3. Surgery restored most of it but he lost it again when he was 14 after an accident. Since he didn't know how he'd cope if he ever were to lose it again, he didn't even pursue the idea of surgery a second time.
• Despite that, he loves music and is a bit of a genius pianist.
• He is extremely shy and sometimes displays autistic traits. His behaviour may be mistaken for aloofness by some but he simply has a lot of difficulty connecting with people. His mood can change rapidly and he goes through phases; him loving something one day doesn't mean it'll last. That sometimes happens with people too (apart from his parents and his sister).
• Music, which he only really discovered at age 3-4, some time after his hearing was restored, is one of the most important things in his life.
• After his dad.
