Never give up! If you've got a love for it , pursue it. Also don't be worried to pursue several things. You've only got one life * as far as we know* . Personally I'm into art- painting , drawing, animation. Music-playing a few instruments, and some digital stuff. Storytelling -writing. Dance- involved in a local dance crew. and a few other things. I don't do everything at once but I've learned that everything that you want to do , you can do. You've just gotta be willing to try. How does the old saying go - If you think you can, or you think you can't, You're absolutely right. Also, just because you aren't epic at something on day 1 it doesn't mean that you should quit. Life is the longest thing that we know so don't deny yourself, and make the most of it.

Thank you for you're kind words
i do love it but as far as pursuing it goes- it's just a hobby and its to big of a gamble to try and make a career out of. art schools are just way to expensive and learning on my own i just don't think i can get to that level needed to be a professional. i like video games and characters and stories etc all these sort of things have such a high risk and fail rate for me to try and pursue as a career lol. don't get me wrong tho this doesn't mean i wont be trying them out and enjoying them. i just wont be making a career out of it even if i wish i could. Life is actually very short you never know what day will be your last.

You're welcome, and you'd be surprised at how many are self taught out there. School can give you a bit of guidance but a great deal of what makes a professional what they are is the ability to just keep drawing, and tackling weak points in their work. lol and yes school is way too expensive. Also, as for fail rate, you'll have a 100% fail rate if you never try. Success is being happy what you do, even if it's not your source of income. Keep doing what you love , because as you said, life is very short. It'd be a waste to spend your time doing things that you don't enjoy. *Check up the group Crimson Daggers. also the conceptart.org sketchbook of Algenpfleger. If you want to see some steps to improve your artwork. I'm suggesting it not from a career standpoint, but just so that you can check it out and help your artwork grow more in your hobby. *
Take care and remember to always have fun lol.
