this image is much like your gallery - it is strange. strange in a good way. whenever i look around your gallery, i always find something amazing that i completely overlooked! this image really requires a full view - and what treasures are to be found that way! i guess that is what your gallery and this image have in common; treasure.
you mention in your description that h.r. giger is a pretty heavy influence on you and your aesthetic appeal. i think that if that style is what you were going for - you succeeded very well, however with your own evident touch. i am not too familiar with giger's work, but i am almost positive that he is the dude that did the 'alien' movie sets and prop/creature design - i am sure he has done more than that, but that's all i got. you have a much 'softer' and 'hotter' touch in this piece - that kind of sounds weird, but i think it is due to the soft, ambient lighting choices and the whisps at the top of each part of the creature or machine...
the details in this image are breathtaking. what i attain from this image are the stages of a birth, which goes quite well with the title 'generator' as they share a common theme/definition of creation. each section seems to become more developed from right to left. (i should stop right here because i think i am reading into this way too much, but i figure that you can stop reading at any point you desire, so onward i go about how enticing this image is ). so if this image is about birth or creation then i think the orientation is wicked clever in the inverse correlation to the title. development from right to left is the same as decay from left to right. i just think that is awesome. and witty. sweeet.
the details really suck me into this image, a lot. a real lot. i get lost in each of those artery and organ-like features in the creatures. it seems like there is an infinite world within each of the stages of the creature. that is another wonderful aspect to this piece. if the contents of this image were imagined within what we know to be matter and space - i can see this being micoscopic or gargantuan - like a whole solar system of endless innards.
lastly, i am rediculously curious as to how you created this image. just photoshop. wow. you have great skills - 'girls only like guys who have skills', ya know.

i apologize that i could not refrain and constrain my commenting. i dig your work, keep it up!

take care and love life!

wow thank you, i think thats the most anyone has ever read into this piece, and it ultimately makes me happy to see it this is one organic developing machine.. its huge, carrying on for miles, youre right.. never quite looked at it as a birth type of thing, but there is definately birth and regeneration happening in it all the time.. its definately a fullviewer i was playing around with apophysis one day (its a fractal generating program) and it came up with a fractal that inspired this spark in my brain to make it into this thing.. and the rest is photoshop.. all the molding into organica and eerie strangeness in the sense of 'is that what i think i see it is?'.. and it usually is

much thanks for the wonderful comment darlin.. btw.. people blowing up cows?! wtf! thats just inhmane.. (showwy forgot to say it in the other comment ) but yea.. blow them up and see how they like it..

you have a vivacious imagination. never heard of apophysis - ill have to look into it.
once again, wonderfully executed. surely a fav (but for some reason my favorites only display the most recent deviation fav... it is set to random too... i don't think that is very random. shucks).

Gigeresque? Perhaps... in the same way that The Cure is Goth... which means "very little" in my book. It'd need a lot more penises to be Gigeresque. To me it's distinctly Manya, and a wonderful example at that. Very nice.

So who is this Giger guy you keep talking about?? hehe... jk of course I like this one a lot, M. I like the abstractness... I get a much more organic feeling from it than a "generator" feel. Maybe a sort of coccoon or hive or something... But that's of course just me and a biproduct of your good work.

It is very Geiger... oh, you knew huh? Seriously! I think his repetitive organic works are immense, and this goes beyond, it is in your own deformed, surrealist maddening signature way of working. Highly detailed, I see some very distressing forms in this!

This piece is very intriguing and exciting. Makes me wanna know your world and be inside it. Must be filled with amazing labyrinths, tunnels, etc
I like this feeling of mix between the metal and the organic...
Excelent!

This is yet again another VERY organic piece that seems to stem from the pattern of habit. Yet, the drive of change keeps it going towards a future that WILL be obtained, outside of its own life. This is a very strong piece from an emotional stand, i can see the fustraion and anger yet the feeling of passiveness and clam also surround it.

i love your complex simplicties.

Deus Ex Machina... Is the first thing I come to think of when I look at this.

A deviant wrote something about 'generating nightmares'... I see that as well, somehow. But then again, your art makes me think of a lot of things, which is - of course - excellent!
