Description
Newly-hatched fry of a vulnerable whitefish species, the Bloater (Coregonus hoyi), that we’re reintroducing to Lake Ontario.
The unlovely name comes from the fact that they live about 600 feet deep, so when fisherman brought them to the surface their gas bladders would expand due to the pressure change.
